for my title screen animation, i used the fog as the scroll for the select menu to represent the "fog of war". the dragon n the background, that fly's across the screen gives a sense of era and an idea of whee the game takes place. the cannonball and the bolder being flung by the catapult show the conflict between the two sides shooting at each other.

  1. theres too many crazy things going on here that dont really all work with eachother. there are random boulders bouncing erraticly around the screen

  2. the layout of your title screen is well done. i understand what you were doing in the research phase and how you came to this layout. the animation needs to be planned out just like your layout. focus on a few major areas and then focus on each animation separately and see how they look when planned all together and adjust. so i see a catapult and a cannon firing, but i see around four boulders so i dont know where the extra two boulders are coming from. the boulders should have a trajectory path, meaning when the are fired they move in an arcing path and only slow down slightly when they are at their max height of their arc. also you should add an explosion in front of the cannon to sell that it fired its shot.
